Art in the Garden Fundraiser

Join us for a fun evening of art while relaxing amongst the beautiful flowers in the South Osborne Permaculture Commons. Art educator, Andrea Bell Stuart, will introduce participants to the methods of Brazilian artist Romero Britto as inspiration for painting flowers. This simple technique ensures success and no experience is necessary. While sitting in the beautiful gardens, you will be painting your favourite flowers* on a canvas drawstring bag – one that can be re-used again and again to carry treasures such as your lunch, your shoes, or your packets of flower seeds. Bring a friend, drink a glass of wine, and create!

*If you would like to paint a different (simple) subject such as a favourite animal, please bring an image to work from.

$45 (includes all art supplies, canvas bag, and one beverage)
All proceeds go to support the Sustainable South Osborne Community Cooperative.

For tickets please contact Andrea Bell Stuart (204-612-3382) or Tim Stuart (204-292-1940)

But just what did Sustainable South Osborne Community Coop do in 2017? How did we maintain the South Osborne Commons?

Come to our AGM and hear our report to the community. If you feel motivated by the large accomplishments of our small volunteer board of directors, we welcome your participation.

How can you get involved? You can become a co op member (lifetime memberships are just $5 and available for purchase at the AGM), you can meet our garden stewards and become a volunteer gardener at one of our community commons, you can join the board of directors, or volunteer for special events and workshops. Many hands make lighter work.
